Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974 in Aviano Italy) American actress, especially noted for her critically-acclaimed performance of charming and naive characters. Adams was the daughter of an U.S. Army officer in Italy and grew in Castle Rock Colorado. She began dancing and acting professionally in the mid-1990s with Boulder Dinner Theatre, and following that The Country Dinner Playhouse. When she moved to Minnesota and taking part in a mock-documentary film on beauty pageants called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998). The film was a success and she became a screen star as a ditzy but good-natured contestant, she relocated towards Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. From June 1951 through September 22, 1962 she was wed to actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was discovered by the actress Norma Shearer Leigh signed a contract with MGM to launch her career as a film actress during the latter half of the 1940s. She appeared in several popular movies in the subsequent decade like Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) and Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis-film from 1954).
