Toni Collette has been an Australian actor for more than twenty years. Her fame was first recognized with the comedy film Muriel's Wedding and gained even greater recognition following the debut of the suspense thriller The Sixth Sense. Since then, the multifaceted actress has worked in numerous films, including The Hours, Japanese Story, About a Boy, Little Miss Sunshine, The Way, Way Back, Knives Out and Hereditary. The actress has garnered a deal of recognition for her work on television which includes her work on the United States of Tara series as well as Wanderlust. She spent her entire life being a resident of Falls Church. She began to develop an interest in arts and acting while studying dance at Washington School of Ballet. Her first professional experience was dancing and had great success appearing in school plays. When she entered high school she participated in every musical staged by the school. That's how she began acting, and then stopped dancing. She attended Carnegie Mellon University, where she took classes in Drama. After two years of study she decided to drop out and focus on her work as an actor. Louisa was born into the family of four. Lida Wright is her mother. She was American and Robert Henry Krause, her father, was half Japanese. Nathaniel Krause, her younger brother, who is a director for the film industry is a film maker. She loves to spend her free time barbecuing and taking family trips. She's very close to her younger brother.
